Provost, Guillaume Adjutor
Guillaume Provost Adjutor completes a Ph.D. at the Université du Québec à Montréal. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Canada, France, Germany, Austria and Belgium. His recent projects are hybrid proposals that borrow from the language of the visual arts, curatorial practices and literature. Through a certain indeterminacy of form, the work of Guillaume Provost Adjutor examines the manifestations of the unconscious, the concept of use and the construction of ideals. The artistic practice becomes a research space, a place to question our relationship with contemporaneity ; navigate through its disappointments and expectations. More specifically, it is about the periphery of what makes history : counter-culture, personal archives and science fiction. To act in the present, we need to propose fictions for the future.
