Atelier Mondial -

Alma Hernández, was born in Oaxaca México. She is a textile sculptor. Her sources of inspiration come from a broad range of knowledge areas. However, she define her art work in a just one concept: transitional object.
A transitional object emerges between two worlds, is the bridge between two ideas or people, for example, one, as an adult, may want to communicate with children, or perhaps, one may need to establish a link with past history. For this achieve I design soft objects, characters and toys.
GARGOLA
Alma is developing Gárgola , a textile character sculpture project. Gárgola is a project conceived from a visual research process inspired in Aby Warburg's nemosyne theory.
Alma works with soft characters and structural fabric techniques. She is interested in the relationship between sculpture and architecture.
