'My work is about simulating different processes. I think a lot about models. How come something is working? What I’m doing is recreating processes but within different, original situations. The idea of a controlled laboratory environment is also very important to me; in a laboratory you simulate a lot as a way to find solutions. (…) Yes, I appropriate systems that were originally created to perform something, and I use them in a new way, in order to find another language, to create another situation. (…) You were talking about the human presence, but maybe my installations are more about the human absence. What I do is observing processes from many different perspectives and re-appropriate and reintegrate them in new situations.‘
