Rest–Druckverfahren. Aufwertung von organischen Nebenprodukten als temporäres, synästhetisches Druckerzeugnis

Diese Masterthesis konzentriert sich auf ein innovatives Druckverfahren, welches organische
Nebenprodukte – von Kleinunternehmen im Raum Basel – als temporäre Informationsträger verwertet. Hierfür wurde eine Methode entwickelt, die das Restmaterial zu Pigmenten und anschliessend zu hochwertigen und sinnlichen Siebdrucken umwandelt. Sie kommunizieren über ihre visuelle, haptische sowie olfaktorische Ebene und legitimieren ihre Kurzlebigkeit dadurch, Anwendung im rasanten Informationskonsum von Heute zu finden.

This master thesis focusses on an innovative printing method which makes use of organic side products – of small businesses in the Basel area – as a temporary information carrier. With a specific method, the leftover material is fabricated to a pigment and turned into valuable, sensual screen-prints. They communicate on a visual-, haptical- as well as olfactory basis and legitimize their short lifespan by providing an application to the rapid information-consumption of today.
