Plastics have shaped our society since the 1950s and will outlive our age as sediments. These man-made materials still allow freedom of design and industrial mass production. However, the global problem of the resulting waste disposal has long since ceased to be compatible with an idea of untouched nature that is to be protected as a refuge from human activities. «lac» researches plant-based plastics in textile applications and their potential as durable and biodegradable alternatives.
