My work is a personal confrontation with prevailing discrepancies in the dis- tribution of power within different social situations. It is a virtual installation consisting of a virtual environment in a sphere. A 360-degree video is shown on the inside of the sphere. The viewers can move freely in the virtual installation and within the sphere.
The medium of virtual reality deprives them of control over their current perceptions. In accordance with this effect of the medium, the virtual environment and the video represent an ambivalent situation which the viewers are part of, without having any direct influence on its development. They experience therefore a close state of powerlessness.
