I chose this action for its simplicity because we all do it or have done it many times. Interested in repetition and also, in boredom, I what to observe what happens when you slow down a movement you know so well - the attention becomes very powerful. and thought about cutting bread, slices of bread over and over which is something really simple and repetitive.
In this work, I loose myself momentarily in my thoughts. I never look at the audience nor do I talk. I stare at the bread. My gaze is vacant. I don’t really move my body, at most, a few inches only. It looks like I am immobile, almost like a painting.
