How much does public space cost? In a performance on the occasion celebrating the future construction of the CentrePasquArt, Chiarenza & Hauser took a close look at public furnishings. At breakneck speed they read off the prices of benches, streetlamps, trash containers, car blocks and flower tubs from lists they had ordered from the city administration. A stage curtain separates them from the public. Their faces appear in closed-circuit transmission on TVs, while below the curtain their shoes and trouser legs can be seen.
