Postcolonial Auction

The first ever Postcolonial Auction in Basel, and also perhaps a first in Switzerland, in Europe and also the world (to the best of the artist's knowledge).

Parvez conducted a real auction for three carefully selected items:
1. Two Black Souls In White Paint - a dark wooden sculpture, (most likely of African origin) covered in white paint that the artist found on a street in Basel.
2. An Old Burmese Puppet - picked by artists from a flea market
3. A Piece Of Soul Of A South American Physician

The audience could bid for the objects in any currency they had on them. And all currencies were treated at par.
