Blechlawine
the other parade through the streets of Zug - an interdisciplinary, theatrical realization.

In musical terms, a parade or festival procession is reminiscent of marching music, usually brass band music. When it proudly marches through the streets, the avalanche of cars or brass must give way. But now we are talking about a different kind of brass band.

Lucerne artist Barbara Jäggi creates objects from sheet metal. Rattling balls, a tinny jumping sheet, a can carpet and other sound or noise props. 80-100 children and young people from Zug roll, drag, push, swing or push these tin creations through a few streets in Zug's old town.

Just as the brass is transformed into illustrious sound objects by Jäggi, Barbara's arrangements, the transportation noise is transformed into brass music by Mäder, Urban's spatial conception. Transportation movement is transformed into designed movement. The street conditions determine the acoustic presence of the brass actions, whether through the displacing competition in the vicinity of the traffic noise or through the favorable echo in quieter alleys and corners.

Action area: Casino and adjoining old town.
