Classic immaterial

Inspiration is something the craft world is expert in however this expertise is rarely explained. This paper seeks to discuss the very early stages of the creative process with reference to the traditions of glassblowing and Yoga. It considers how these practices can lend support to a 'craft mentality" that can be used to discuss the practice of 'making first' in relation to areas such as innovation management, participatory design, brainstorming and the concept of shared space.
