Naïve Set Theory. Anarchiving Memory
Commonly, the archive is discussed exclusively as to its capability to remember the past, yet the mnemonic process also demands the act of forgetting. Our society denies this aspect and often declines the implications of recalling everything. Forgetting means to free up space; in Naïve Set Theory the available space is used to explore the possibilities offered by
rejected material. The archive, turned into a tool to (re)generate the meaning of found photographs, has resulted in three scenarios posing the issues of subjectivity, categorization,
and interpretation.
