The cycle consists of four motets, each subdivided into two partes (three in the case of the third one). The first two motets have texts associated with the feast of All Saints, the other two are textless in the manuscript, but were in all likelihood meant to be provided with text as well. The cycle configuration hypothesis rests, among other things, on the presence of the same (or a very similar) melodic opening phrase in all the motets.
