The performance, newly developed for the Swiss Performance Award, is a fashion show without models and a cabaret without singers. A catwalk, hotplates and pots as well as the colors white, red and pink define the stage. In this moving still life, Markus Goessi makes use of a set of choreographed actions and at the same time leaves plenty of room for improvisation and
for improvisation and exertion: milk boils over, popcorn spits around, peperoncini are sliced and tomato sauce splatters.
An AI voice proclaims texts taken from Goessi's Instagram account, in which he processes biographical memories and current social issues. Language, sound, smells and image frequencies blend into a wild mix of sensory impressions.
Markus Goessi plays with clichés, celebrates queerness, sensuality and authenticity in order to question social norms and patriarchal structures.
