For the performance, I created a wedding dress made of recycled waste. Once finished, the performance began by conveying different moods through gestures and body language, mimicking both euphoria at the purchase of a new dress and frustration at not being able to fill one's inner void.
The performance ended with the destruction of the dress so that it could not be worn, thus emphasising the importance of renunciation. For the destruction of the dress, I requested the active participation of the audience, inviting them to cut out heart-shaped pieces from the dress. Each was signed by the artist and offered for sale. The proceeds were donated to the non-governmental organisation ‘Clean Clothes Compaign’.
