War Games

The works of Matteo Rubbi (*1980, lives in Albano Sant'Alessandro, Bergamo, Italy) with a communal experience, which is usually is also part of Rubbi's exhibition concepts. For performance project, the artist has created two developed two war games from historical designs, which exhibition visitors and participants are are invited to play. The process of playing the games also includes a part of the design as well as the joint negotiating rules together. The utopian imaginary spaces of the games connect the abstract geometric symbols on the game board with larger cultural narratives of behavior and behavior and fictional events.
