Selfie im Bau II - performative Live-Intervention und Podcast

Selfie im Bau II consists of two parts, a live intervention on the Brugg-Windisch campus with iPhones and iPads and a video podcast: As a fictional character, I insert myself into the everyday life of the Brugg-Windisch campus. In eye-catching clothing and paint, like an avatar, I move around the stairwell and in the corridors and, sometimes determined by chance, seismographically survey the rooms. Dancing movement and a subtext aim to provide a physical-somatic insight into the hidden dimensions behind the 'backdrops' of the mighty building: Cable meters, color quantities and hues are calculated and equations are drawn up between Roman legionnaires and bites and bytes. In selfie mode, with the iPhone pointed at me on a camera stabilizer, I capture details of the interior of the Brugg-Windisch campus. Three students are filming as fellow runners: their iPhone or iPad is pointed at my legs, my arms and my head. We influence each other as we move through the rooms, becoming a moving organism.
The film recordings were edited into a visual-acoustic meditation, a physical reflection on the campus building. On the occasion of the Culture Day, a Communis event organized by the FHNW University of Teacher Education, this film work was available as a podcast for 14 days.
