The rights of women in Isalam // Three people are sitting there. The names of Nobel Prize winners are listed one after the other and each written down on a sheet of paper. It is not clear whether they are being honored or accused. Each sheet is then crumpled up and thrown into a basket. Slowly, the person in the middle stands up and forces the other two to stop reciting the names. It is now clear that this is a mysterious tribunal. Finally, the woman is forced to the floor. The crumpled leaves and their names and the values they stand for are petrified. These stones are now used to stone the woman. The names and values of the Nobel Prize winners are instrumentalized, misused and turned into the opposite. // The exact location of this performance in Istanbul had to be kept strictly secret. After the video was published, the artist Atem, Gen; received several threats via social media - presumably from parts of the Turkish diaspora in Switzerland and from Turkey itself. ////
