The music:
33 Miniatures is a new organ piece by Philipp Neukom. The composition began with a pictorial sketch with twelve variations of a spiral or circle-like figure. It was the inspiration for a series of 33 extremely short miniature compositions lasting barely ten seconds. These are freely handled variations in which new motifs, recursions, mixtures and new combinations also appear. The sequence of these micro-pieces defines the temporal framework of the 33 Miniatures project. A meta-rhythm of sound and silence, movement and stillness emerges, in which a growing wealth of relationships unfolds on all sides.

The performance:
Künzler, Astrid; creates physical miniatures at various points in the room, which lie in relation to each other in a circle, their emotionality reflecting states from life. The circle thus also symbolizes the vessel of life in which we move.
