We are in a dry riverbed. Four people are sitting around a table on which a small wooden bed has been set up. The wood is lit and a nice fire is kindled. The four people are talking, but nothing can be heard of the conversation. Only the flickering fire and ambient noises can be heard. New logs are repeatedly placed on the fire from a box so that it grows and merges with the table. It begins to smoke heavily, the chairs are moved away from the table, the people move around but never interrupt their conversation. Finally, the whole table burns and dusk falls. The cameras film the scene from all sides. On the one hand, the round table is repeatedly visible in the long shot; on the other hand, the people, the table and the fire are shown close up.
