Homage to Kurt Schwitters in Switzerland

As part of the European multimedia project - Invisible Walls - Boondocks III Hanover, the multimedia artist and composer Arthur Clay will stage the project "Geschwittertes" at one of Hanover's most unusual locations: The listed, recently renovated Kesselhaus, on the grounds of the Faust cultural center, will become the performance venue for a project inspired by Kurt Schwitters with several programmatic parts; with the participation of musicians and artists from Switzerland and youth from Kreative Youngster from the region.

The project consists of three parts: an ensemble concert with works by Arthur Clay, which presents Switzerland as a place of conflict and inspiration; an exhibition with a colorful collection of collage images by the artist Leonard Bullock, some of which are reminiscent of Kurt Schwitter's working methods; accompanying the exhibition, workshops as part of an art education program with young people "Sound generators and their performances" will playfully take up Schwitter's design criteria and bring them to musical performance.

The live-recorded opening performance resulting from the "Sound Art Workshop" for young people can be experienced as a sound installation together with collage works by the artist Leonhard Bullock as part of the multimedia project Boondocks III.There is also the option of performing and/or realizing the sound installation "Geschwittertes" in the European context of "Invisible Walls" by the European partners of Boondocks III Hannover: the Manchester Triennial, the Prague Biennale, the Poznan Biennale and the Capital of Culture Plov.
