"ultra" is an interview, a questioning conversation about the enthusiasm, dedication and passion of a fan, in this case a field hockey fan in particular. Luca Langensand (lawyer, scientific assistant and HC Ambri Piotta fan) and his sister Nina Langensand (actress and visual artist) face each other on stage. Their search for meaning and devotion unites and separates them. As siblings, they are so close that they are able to confront what separates them, the contradictions between them, in a way that could not be more relentless. Together they search for their own expression, for participation in and separation from each other's lives. The conversation interweaves the personal with the general; social fault lines and conflicts become visible in the private sphere. The conversation is a struggle, not to be right, but to understand. Understanding the path that the other person takes in order to be more than just an individual.
