"How can we be together to bear witness to mystery, separation, isolation and singularity?" In his text on the "Politics of Friendship", Jacques Derrida brings together a multitude of areas and questions that at first glance seem distant from one another. In his writing and speaking, friendship, democracy and speaking itself are welded together to form a problem area that asks about the possible and impossible ways of human coexistence. How can we encounter ourselves and the other without restricting them in their incomparable singularity? How can we talk to each other? And how can we open up our private relationships, our friendships to a community, to living together in the political space of a country, a culture? "wir/wir/wir (Entwürfe)" attempts to combine a content-based approach to a text with an unmediated joy of play and experimentation right from the start. Starting from the (linguistic) figures of this text, we collect musical, scenic and textual material and look for starting points for a musical-theatrical realization. At the same time, we take up the rhetorical and musical character of Derrida's flow of thought and utilize its dramatic potential. A speech develops from musical text-gesture choreographies that constantly thematizes language itself as a generator of meaning. The body expresses itself through gestures and vocal variance, while the text continues like a trail of thought. We are looking for a mixture of publicity and inwardness, closeness and distance, a form of speaking that questions itself and the self as a stable entity.
