An opera singer performs a short aria on the pallet trolley before being pushed off again. A young man with a glove and a red rose traps on the spot and smokes a cigarette to pass the time, a young lady wordlessly turns the wheel, passages of text are recited and people from the audience are led closer to the action by the co-performers. A potpourri of plot levels takes place, which becomes increasingly entangled and may metaphorically stand for the many facets of a love story.
