(2017)

At Guyu Action, International Performance Art Festival 11th The artists' collective marsie has set up and opened an "Art Store" on the disused textile factory site. store" on the disused textile factory site. The performance lasted two days. It started with the cleaning of the site and ended with the opening of the "International Art Store". During the festival, the artists' collective marsie collected the remnants of the performances shown. They labeled them with the name, date and title of the performances and staged them in the "International Art Store". What happens to the relics and to the store after the opening remains open. The question of "and now?" is deliberately intended to arise. The "economic restructuring" and gentrification processes spreading from the West have recently arrived in China. The "international art store" plays with these patterns and aims to hold artists accountable in relation to their work, material, resources, market and its impact. How does your art relate to the restructuring? What does it contribute? What are the consequences of my artistic actions? In our opinion, these questions belong in every work process. And that is: Right at the beginning.
