Due persone che indossano costumi studiati per apparire come se dovessero scomparire sullo sfondo di uno "schermo blu" prussiano, tentano di avvicinarsi l'una all'altra senza scopo o aspettativa. Una terza persona li segue attraverso l'obiettivo della telecamera. Si esibiscono per e con l'altro all'interno di una manifestazione fisica del Cubo Blu, uno spazio concettuale che attiva il regno della possibilità "in mezzo" come luogo di pura, cruda e immediata presenza. La libertà interiore di uno si incontra con quella degli altri, così che lo spazio deve essere in qualche modo creato insieme. Il risultato finale offre una versione modificata della realtà, in cui l'assurdità diventa un atto radicale di libertà in sfida all'idea stessa di realtà, o almeno all'oppressione di una realtà fissa.
