Format: Performance
Our performance talks about the trauma inflicted by the Dublin Regulation on refugees—its bureaucratic burden, its displacement, its denial of choice.
At around we begin our journey from Sion, walking toward Château Mercier in Sierre. This 3.5-hour walk is a symbol of the long, exhausting paths that refugees are forced to take in search of safety and dignity.
At we arrive at Château Mercier, where the second part of our performance unfolds. In a performative dialogue between ourselves and the European flags, we confront the paradoxes of the Dublin Regulation—the contradictions of a system that claims to offer refuge yet entraps those who seek it. Through movement we expose the fractures within this policy and the human cost it demands.
