Abstract
Virtual Design Kit uses virtual reality as a platform to design sheet metal constructions. Users can attach predefined elements to each other to create their design. While designing a flat projection of the design is generated, which can be exported and cut by a laser. VDK allows anyone without prior knowledge of craftsmanship or CAD software to create sheet metal constructions. VDK lowers the threshold in generating files to produce with CNC machines.
