The performative experiment "Can I walk like this?" takes place as part of "WE WALK - Strategies from Zurich". Around a constantly evolving exhibition, a program of walks, performances and actions questions walking as a critical-artistic practice.
Six people spontaneously took part in the one-off action "Can I walk like this?" without any prior knowledge. At the performer's request, they were tied to certain parts of their bodies with tension belts to create an obstacle to walking - and each went on a 30 to 45-minute walk in public space. On their return, the test subjects evaluated their sensations and experiences using a questionnaire. Together with the tension belts and the marked route, the anonymous evaluations remained in the exhibition.
