Abstract
The performance took place in the first hour of my show opening in the independent art space Sonnenstube (Lugano). There was a grate just in front of the entrance door. When the audience arrived, I was already under this grate, intent on the performance.
So the public, upon entering the exhibition, had to walk over me, sitting in front of the entrance, in a space just a little wider than me. During the hour of the performance I only drank cups of milk and coffee, ate large chocolate brioches and listened to Italian news from a little battery-powered radio. In practice, I lived half hidden as an illegal immigrant.
I was dressed in a classic 1960s suit and wore dark eyeglasses.
