Abstract
Interested in vibrations emitted by the dancing and singing body, Lara Dâmaso's current research focuses on the voice, conditioned from early childhood by norms of " appropriate use ", associating it with intellectual articulation and censoring its uncontrolled usage. In a gesture of emancipation, the artist tries to unlearn, to restore the full expressive potential of her voice and to make it heard through different postures and movements of the torso. Using a recording and broadcasting device, she adds a layer of abstraction and also becomes a spectator of her experimentation.
