Der Kunstrundgang 04

On a one-hour art tour through District 4, we explore unknown corners and prominent locations and uncover hidden art treasures.

We stop off at rather inconspicuous places, declare found objects to be works of art, assign them art historical terms or tell real stories about them.
For example, we annexed one of the countless shopping carts from a major distributor standing around in the neighborhood, spray-painted it gold and placed it in a backyard, where it surprises us as a work by Geneva artist Sylvie Fleury ("the caddy"). A crack in the asphalt turns out to be the eye of Paul Klee's painting "Der Paukenschläger". To explain bent bicycle stands, we made a performance video in the style of the 1970s. - On this walk through backyards and narrow side streets to the Langstrasse underpass, where we draw attention to the minimalist overpainting of graffiti and tags by ERZ (Entsorgung & Recyceling Stadt Zürich), we draw the participants' attention to the small things of everyday life.
Trivialities become points of interest and allow a new view of the neighborhood.
