Heat is a recurring theme in Eden's work. The main laws of thermodynamics, the theory of heat, seem to her to be "poetry"; she returns to them again and again and finds images for them in her profession, art. She tries to make molecular movement, because that is what heat is, visible. Through this transfer, the laws of natural science gain a human, metaphorical content. Martin Bieri
