Abstract
In “Future Nomads” twelve artists held letters that read 'FUTURE NOMADS' in front of a live webcam. The webcam was installed on a crane, overlooking a developing area in Zurich, Europaallee, where the artists’ studios were located.
The performance lasted several minutes and was documented and archived online using the webcam itself.
The work reflected on the process of gentrification and portrayed the increasingly nomadic existence of the contemporary artist today.
