Gregory Hari's hand and face is a performance and installation based on a photograph from 1996. It shows the artist on the family's balcony in a colorful dress,
dressed like a little girl, together with a paddling pool in the shape of a blue shell in the background. Back then, Hari "performed" for the camera, just as he does for his audience today. The installation is reminiscent of this photograph and consists of two small, shell-shaped plastic pools filled with powder and water, two oversized terry towel panels hanging from the ceiling with the words FACE and HAND written on them, Plexiglas panes sprinkled with powder the size of the windows of the family apartment where the photo was taken, and the original photograph taken by his mother at the time.
