Der Videoparcour fand vom 28.05 bis zum 29.06. 2014  zwischen 9 bis 24 Uhr statt. Nach erfolgreicher Pilotphase  2013 mit Videokünstler*innen  aus Basel werden dieses Jahr Videokünster*innen aus der ganzen Schweiz in Schaufenstern,  Lobbys und Eingangshallen von  Geschäften  und Kulturinstitutionen in der Basler Innenstadt gezeigt.  Die Videos wurden so ausgewählt, dass Bezüge zum Standort hergestellt werden: Inhaltlich kommentieren sie diesen und stellen visuelle Verbindungen her zur Umgebung.    

Es gab 11 Stadtionen:  Congress Center Basel, Banca Popolare di Sondrio (Suisse), Bank CIC, unternehmen mitte, Der Teufelhof Basel, Confiserie Bachmann, Sony Center, Pfauen Basel, Theater Basel, Basler Kantonalbank, Ingenodata/Güterstrasse 133.

Folgende Künstler*innen nahmen am Videoparcour teil: collectif_fact, Ursula Palla, Beat Steuli, Eric Hattan, Anina Schenker, Chantal Romani, Ingeborg Lüscher, Alex Silber Company, Pipilotti Rist, Gabriella Gerosa, Daniel Künzler, Roman Menge, Peter Aerschmann, Haus am gern, Sonja Feldmeier, Judith  Albert.

The video parcour took place from 28.05 to 29.06. 2014 between 9 and 24 o'clock. After a successful pilot phase in 2013 with video artists* from Basel, this year video artists* from all over Switzerland will be shown in shop windows, lobbies and entrance halls of shops and cultural institutions in Basel city centre.  The videos have been selected in such a way that references to the location are established: They comment on the content and create visual links to the surroundings.

--- Anmerkung zum Standort Sony Center Basel

Das Geschäft gab es dort einige wenige Jahre. Es wurde später geschlossen.  Vgl. https://presscentre.sony.eu

The colouration springs first into focus: in orange, and in part dressed in yellow, people in fine garments, sporting hats and scarves, carrying bags, gloves and sandals coloured in blue. They stand with cameras in their hands, lit up in front of a dark blue background, in groups of three, the one similar to the other. But not only is the play with the complementary colours of import in Peter Aerschmann's animated photography entitled "Illumination" from 2010; the opposites of hot and cold also come into play in the garments: sandals are combined with gloves, and desert attire is interwoven with nordic knitting patterns. The effect is startling when the camera lights start flashing: The viewer of the work without sounds is turned into an object within the piece and also illuminated if he/she so happens to take a look at the standing, floating photographers from below. Hence it is this selfsame play of opposites and the change in perspectives which preserve "Illumination" inside of our memory.
