"Space Travelling". ECAM x Agnes Meyer-Brandi

This lecture deals with the Art and Science under the absence of weight. Meyer-Brandis introduces alternative methods of space travelling, one of them even dating way back as to the 17th century - the age of enlightenment. The lecture is a sometimes weighty and sometimes weightless perambulation, in search of reality within constructions – on the ground, in the hemisphere or inside clouds.
Agnes Meyer-Brandis is a installation artist, known for her internationally exhibited artwork and film. After briefly studying mineralogy at the RWTH Aachen University, Meyer-Brandis studied sculpture at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands, studied with Czech photographer and conceptual artist Magdalena Jetelová at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany, and then earned a master's degree in audio visual media from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in Cologne, Germany.
