«Doce en Diciembre» (Twelve in December) started in Buenos Aires in December 2018 as an exchange project between 12 women artists from Switzerland and South America. The group focused on exchange, collaborative, artistic practices and performance art. In the meantime and after many Zoom meetings, discussions and production took place. In the process, this video window into the work of the participating artists emerged.
We hope to see the artists live from 30.9.21 - 18.10.21 at Kasko - project space for contemporary art, performance and mediation. But now we are looking forward to getting to know the artists' video works in advance.
Performance art as a tool and an attitude is what connects the multi-media artists. They share a common interest in activist, collective approaches within the art world and everyday life, with an economic and feminist focus and support system.
As we always like to exchange with other artists, and as Jürgen Enge and Tabea Lurk have set up a fantastic tool for this for the Mediathek at the FHNW, we want to organise an online performance event with friends. Many thanks also to VIA Basel and Kasko!

«Doce en Diciembre» (Zwölf im Dezember) startete im Dezember 2018 in Buenos Aires als Austauschprojekt zwischen 12 Künstlerinnen aus der Schweiz und aus Südamerika. Die Gruppe setzte den Schwerpunkt auf Austausch, kollaborative, künstlerische Praktiken und Performance Kunst. In der Zwischenzeit und nach vielen Zoom Treffen wurde diskutiert und produziert. Dabei entstand dieses Videofenster in die Arbeit der beteiligten Kunstschaffenden.

Wir hoffen die Künstlerinnen vom 30.9.21 – 18.10.21 im Kasko – Projektraum für aktuelle Kunst, Performance und Vermittlung live sehen zu können. Doch jetzt freuen wir uns darauf, vorab Videoarbeiten der Künstlerinnen kennenzulernen.

Der Zusammenhang zwischen den multimedial arbeitenden Künstlerinnen ist das Instrument und die Haltung der Performance Kunst. Die Künstlerinnen teilen ein gemeinsames Interesse an aktivistischen, kollektiven Ansätzen innerhalb der Kunstwelt und des Alltags, mit einem ökonomischen und feministischen Fokus- und Fördersystem.
