Blimunda infected with Covid-19 in Terra Brasilis

Paola Junqueira pays homage to a central character of the book «Memorial do convent» by José Saramago. The character is called Blimunda de Jesus, also baptized «Sete Luas», mentioning the 7 days of each lunar cycle, that regulates the cycles of life and death.
A Portuguese girl residing in Lisbon at the time of D. João V (1706 - 1750). Possessing extraordinary powers that allow her, when fasting, to see «what is inside the bodies, and sometimes what is inside the earth». The ability to see people and objects from the inside occurs only during fasting.
Lisbon City Center, at Praça do Comercio, at Paola is sitting on the sand, with her feet on the Tagus River. She eats bread, as Blimunda did most of her mornings, thus interrupting her visionary abilities and protecting her with normal vision to start the day.
In a second part, Paola Junqueira is in the City of São Simão, State of São Paulo. She’s sitting on the bank of the Tamanduá River.

Paola Junqueira huldigt einer zentralen Figur aus dem Buch «Memorial do convent» von José Saramago. Die Figur heißt Blimunda de Jesus, auch «Sete Luas» genannt, in Anspielung auf die 7 Tage eines jeden Mondzyklus, der die Kreisläufe von Leben und Tod reguliert.

Ein portugiesisches Mädchen, das zur Zeit von D. João V. (1706 - 1750) in Lissabon lebte. Sie besaß außergewöhnliche Kräfte, die es ihr erlaubten, während des Fastens zu sehen, «was in den Körpern ist, und manchmal, was in der Erde ist». Die Fähigkeit, Menschen und Gegenstände von innen zu sehen, tritt nur während des Fastens auf.

Lissabon Stadtzentrum, am Praça do Comercio, um 07:30 Uhr. Paola sitzt im Sand, mit den Füßen im Tajo-Fluss. Sie isst Brot, wie Blimunda es an den meisten ihrer Morgen tat, wodurch ihre visionären Fähigkeiten unterbrochen werden und sie mit normalem Sehen den Tag beginnen kann.

In einem zweiten Teil befindet sich Paola Junqueira in der Stadt São Simão, im Bundesstaat São Paulo. Sie sitzt am Ufer des Tamanduá-Flusses.
