"up in my tree" is a video performance which is taking place on a platform in a maple tree in the garden of the house I live in. This platform is an in-between space. It isn’t in the house, neither in the public space. It is my shelter, a place where I enjoy spending time on my own during the quarantine, where I can isolate myself from my flatmates, as we’re all confined together. Since the quarantine has begun, I’m writing almost everyday. During my performance, I’ll be reading selected fragments of my diary which includes poems, thoughts, updates, emails and advertising I wrote and collected these past weeks. The whole performance will be recorded by a camera that I displace in the tree.
