“Red Thread” is a durational performance where we explore the concept of rituals and myth. A performative setting is created, which revolves around questions of translocality and our behavior with plants by using traditional and ritualistic elements. With a red thread we will create a garland to wrap the building or room with plant leftovers and plant waste. Plants that are sorted out because they don't meet the beauty criteria (anymore) are in a liminal space and time - not rotten yet but not worth to be looked at anymore. We knot garlands of these plants with a red thread.
