TANGA TRAGEDY

Pissing tanga, rafal, the fool – This tragedy is a space to share and express feelings unjudged.
Leaving space to reconstruct feelings of shame.
Giving scores to produce a tanga tragedy.
When/where/what is your tragedy?

Widow tanga, milena, the lost lover – *starts crying* *starts laughing* *starts crying* *starts laughing* *starts the drama of the starting point*
The Love Song, mama maja, the lover of the lost lover – (whispers) how often can I start ?

Dea ex machina, genie, the queen – (in high pitched voice) this space is a playground for people to come together, to be non productive, to play outside of normative goals to produce unrelevance, to measure out new spaces of relevancy

Theatervorhang tanga, lateena, the two faced hydra – welcome to our tragedy doors

Hierarchy of Tangas, teresa, the dog – (gazes at you) how often can I start ?

The tapping tanga, raffaela, the fools friend – I’m interested in the performativity of a tanga, in producing
the least amount of fabric, in questioning how big a tanga can be, in the unseriousness and sexual connotations, a tanga as a symbol of empowerment.

Racing cow, sun, the slow speedster – (fast stumbeling) we repeat ourselfes, in a loop of tragedy, to the point where you don’t know anymore if you see a tragedy or a comedy, is it a fairy tale ?

The c-string, jamee, the angels wings - *starts whalesounds*

Sniffing string, yann, the servant – how often can I start ?

Wedding tanga, yadin, the queens wife – (repeats themselves again and again and again) The they/them tangas, the hyper femme tangas, the masc strings, the T tangas and the E tangas, the sock tangas, the packers, the binders, the stringers,

The duck, Debora, the twin of the twin – once upon a time there was a tanga, that didn’t want to stick to the ass, so it found itself a string, so it would fit better to the but. But how long is a string when the butt belonged to a duck ?

Miss* tanga, edwin, the queens queen – who oh who, who fits in a tanga ? Who oh who, who fits in my tanga ? Who wants to be the queen of the queens queen ?

The dancing duck, duck, the twin - once upon a time there was a tanga, that didn’t want to stick to the ass, so it found itself a string, so it would fit better to the but. But how long is a string when the butt belonged to a duck ?

The project of the tanga tragedy shifts between clothing, theater and performance to give a fantasy of a way of producing unrelevance, unrelevance and failure as a queer approach to productivity in a normative consumption oriented western society.
It doesn’t take itself so serious, to give the space to unjudge.
In centering the smalles clothing piece, the tanga, I question productivity in a fashion industry and make something verry private visible.
The tanga is a piece of clothing that wants to be private but exhibited at the same time. Everyone has their own tanga tragedy, if they wear them or not. I’m interested in making something so tiny visible.
It is a space to be spontaneous to create without the fear of needing to be relevant, of meeting a standard of productivity.
It is a space to go deep in shallowness. To embrace the uncertainty and to be chaotic.
It is a space that can be reentered, there’s no fixed ending, there’s no goal to reach, there’s always the possibility to reassemble. The drama of the starting point and the humour in the end.
